Interview with Bidisha

Posted: February 6, 2012 in Interview, Uncategorized

What Glass Ceiling cornered Bidisha, the noted feminist writer and broadcaster, at the Go Feminist conference for a brief interview.

Bidisha is a feminist critic and broadcaster who has written for the Guardian. Much of her writing focuses on gender equality and the treatment of women in the modern world and, in particular, the workplace. She came as the star guest to the Go Feminist! conference on the 4th of February 2012.

She spoke to us about her misgivings over what she percieved of as “cultural femicide” – the whitewashing of women from popular culture and their eradication as serious figures whose opinions don’t seem to matter.
